In Baptism, our transformation into Christ's Body is begun. We take on a new identity and accept responsibility for Jesus' mission in our time and place, and we become members of his Church.

Parents desiring to baptize their infants and young children and adults desiring Baptism should contact the parish office to begin the Baptism preparation process. For infants and young children, the preparation process involves at least one meeting with the pastor or the Coordinator of Religious Education. Adults desiring Baptism are expected to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA).

Infants and young children are typically baptized during a Sunday Mass or at a time convenient to the family and the priest. Adults are typically baptized during the Easter Vigil.

Persons baptized into another Christian Church and who wish to become Catholic are not baptized a second time. Rather, they are received into the Catholic Church through a simple Profession of Faith.
